In high school, Kaahreena Ochoco was looking for ways to make extra money so she could hang out with friends. Little did she know, her fashion resale side hustle would become her career. 10 years later, Kaahreena now has a thriving Poshmark business and has used her earnings to open her own consignment store, Per Diem Thrifts, in The Dalles, OR.
Janae Smith started selling clothes on Poshmark as a side hustle during her spring break. The then-16-year-old pulled unwanted clothes from her and her mom’s closets and listed between 10 to 15 items a week. Today, Smith resells while attending community college and has made more than $7,000 in sales this year, which she uses for tuition, gas, and living expenses, as well as to get her nails or eyelashes done.
Poshmark launched the 88rising closet, which features over a dozen items from some of the label’s top artists, including BIBI, Milli, mxmtoon, NIKI, Rich Brian, Stephanie Poetri and Warren Hue. In its 11 years of existence, this is the first time the Poshmark has partnered with a music label.
